We sent our daughters on a scavenger hunt today. They are a little old for Easter egg hunts so we compiled a list of things we wanted them to find and sent them off with our iPhones to take pictures of each thing.
Just to clarify: We did actually color the eggs (you're never too old for that) but we only plan on eating them, not finding them — because we know they are in our fridge.
They are now completely enamored with the idea. I am going to have to sit down and search the Internet for other common scavenger hunts I can print out.
It was fun to see them work together with little name calling. (There was some name calling. I am pretty certain I heard dumbie and stupid head at least once.)
Here are two of Mo's pictures:
Anyone who knows me knows I love purses. While I have tried to scale down my inventory lately, I was very tempted to buy the purse I found yesterday at Spence Hardware and Supply. I know, right? Who would have thought you could buy a purse like this in the same place you can purchase barbed wire and chicken feed?
I got to thinking about the implications of this bag in North Idaho, where I often spy women wearing their camo jackets as everyday wear. Would you be carrying this purse and then go, 'Wait, where is my purse?' because it blends into your outerwear? The only thing that you would see is the amazing bejeweled cross. Speaking of the cross, was Jesus a hunter, or was he just into fish?
