Moving and Childbirth

By 1:00 PM , , , , ,

Packing is like childbirth. You forget how awful it is until you have to do it again.
You get so excited about moving into a bigger place (having a new baby) that you don't think about all the hard work of stowing away your belongings (pushing a 10 pound baby out of a 10 cm hole) can be.

Then the time comes- moving day (day your life alters forever) and you're tired and grumpy and sweaty. Then, you finally get settled in your new, much bigger home (get to hold your child for the first time) and you sigh and think- that wasn't so bad!!
Until the next time.

Side note: Just because I made an analogy between moving and having a baby that does not mean I am pregnant. It does, however, mean I am moving. ;)  Follow the logic?

  1. You are so funny. However, try packing to move,(which we are also doing) and having a baby at the same time! You do forget how horrible it is! I don't mind the packing part, but I hate the cleaning and scrubing and hoping everything is perfect when we move out, so I can get most of the deposit back. Labor, I already signed the papers for the epideral! I am excited for both to happen, I can wait to hold this baby, and I can not wait until we move and have more space and a back yard for the kids!
Good luck moving, I hear the place you are moving to is really nice, and right by the park. Jealous a little!

  2. I've had to move whilst pregnant myself. Actually, I think I had to do this more than once. If you're lucky you will stay in one place for awhile. Good luck tomorrow.
